Before My Feet Hit the Floor
Psalm 5:3
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
Prayer:
Lord, before my feet hit the floor, I bring You this day. I don’t know what it holds, but I know You already do. Order my steps. Steady my mind. Let the first voice I listen to this morning be Yours, not my worry. Fill me with peace before the noise starts.
Today is Yours before it’s mine. Amen.
New Mercies
Lamentations 3:22–23
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”
Prayer:
Father, thank You that Your mercies are new this morning — not used, not worn out, not running low. Whatever I carried in from yesterday, I lay it down now. Give me fresh strength, a clear mind, and a heart ready to receive what You have for me today.
New mercy. New morning. New me. Amen.
Strength for the Day Ahead
Isaiah 40:31
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t have the strength I need for today — but You do. Renew me like You promised. Where I feel weak, be my strength. Where I feel behind, be my pace. Let me walk through today leaning on You, not just pushing through on my own.
His strength, not mine. Amen.
A Guarded Heart
Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Prayer:
God, guard my heart today. Before the comparisons start, before the anxious thoughts creep in, plant Your peace in me first. Let me see today through Your eyes — full of purpose, not full of pressure. Help me protect my mind like it matters, because it does.
Guard my heart. Guide my day. Amen.
Purpose in the Ordinary
Colossians 3:23
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Prayer:
Lord, today may look ordinary — emails, errands, dishes, deadlines — but let me do it all as if I’m doing it for You. Turn my routine into worship. I don’t need a big day to have a meaningful one. I just need You in the middle of it.
Ordinary day, extraordinary purpose. Amen.
