There are seasons in life when your heart feels tired before the day even begins.

You try to keep moving. You try to do what needs to be done. You try to be strong for your family, your responsibilities, and your future. But somewhere in the middle of it all, you realize something deeper is happening: you don’t just feel tired—you feel distant from God.

That is a hard place to admit.

Recently, while creating my video When You Feel Broken and Far from God, Watch This,” I realized the message was not only for others. It was speaking directly to me. The Bible verses in that video began pressing into my own situation, my own thoughts, and my own struggles in a way I could not ignore.

I had been carrying a lot. Job loss. Financial pressure. Emotional heaviness. The quiet battle of trying to keep going while feeling worn down on the inside.

And in the middle of that, I felt led to fast.

It was only for half a day, and to be honest, it was not during perfect conditions. I had not slept at all that night because of my oldest daughter’s homework and the errands that followed after. By all natural logic, I should have felt drained and hungry.

But instead, one truth stayed with me:

Lord, You are enough.

Not my strength.
Not my plans.
Not my ability to fix everything.
Not my own understanding.

The Lord is enough.

That does not mean every problem disappeared.
It means that in the middle of weakness, God reminded me that His grace does not run out when mine does.

The Bible says:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9

Sometimes we think we need to come back to God with strength, discipline, or perfect faith.
But often, the real beginning is much smaller and much more honest.

Sometimes it starts with saying:

Lord, I am tired.
Lord, I feel far away.
Lord, I do not have enough.
But You are enough.

If you are in that kind of season right now, please know this:
feeling broken does not mean God has abandoned you.
Feeling far does not mean you cannot return.
Being weak does not mean you are beyond His help.

It may be that God is meeting you in the very place you thought disqualified you.

Come back honestly.
Come back simply.
Come back as you are.

He is still near to the brokenhearted.
He is still faithful in the valley.
And He is still enough.

Prayer

Lord, when life feels heavy and my heart feels far from You, draw me back again. Teach me to trust You more than my fear, my pain, or my uncertainty. Remind me that Your grace is sufficient and that Your presence is enough for this season. In Jesus’ name, amen.
