It began as one man reaching out for a lifeline
Faith in Need was born in the valley.
It didn’t start as a planned organization or a formal ministry. It began as one man reaching out for a lifeline.
There was a time when life felt like it was unraveling. After losing my job and facing financial instability, I found myself battling the weight of depression and a growing distance from God. As a father, a husband, a brother, and the son of a pastor, I knew the Truth—but I wasn’t feeling it. I was trying to hold everything together through my own strength and realizing, day by day, that my strength wasn’t enough.
I realized that to be the role model my family deserves and the man God called me to be, I had to stop trying to lead and start learning to follow again.
Faith in Need is a personal project with a simple purpose: to reconnect with God and find the path He has set for me.
It is a record of my own journey back to the Word. I started this to share the verses that were pulling me out of the dark, the reflections that were giving me hope, and the lessons I’m learning as I try to rebuild my life—not on the shifting sand of my own effort, but on the solid Rock of Christ.
What is Faith in Need today?
Right now, this is a place for encouragement. It’s a collection of devotionals, videos, and resources for those who, like me, have felt broken or distant. It is a space for the “quiet times” when you aren’t sure where the next step is, but you know you need God to lead the way.
What will it become?
While Faith in Need isn’t a formal ministry yet, I am praying over the seeds being planted here. My hope is that as I walk this path, this project will grow into something larger—a community and a mission that can support others in their hour of need.
This isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being present. It’s about admitting that we are all in need of a Savior and walking toward Him together.
A Note from the Founder
My name is Eliud. Ironically, it’s a biblical name that has followed me my whole life, but I am only recently truly understanding the weight of walking with God.
If you are facing your own hard season—if you are struggling with your career, your identity, or your faith—know that you aren’t alone. You don’t have to have it all together to start coming back to Him.
“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
— Psalm 40:1-2
Thank you for being part of this journey.
